Caramelised Soy Chicken

  • 4 pieces chicken thighs
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 green onion, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and rice vinegar.
  2. Marinate the chicken thighs in the mixture for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the grill or skillet over medium heat.
  4. Cook the marinated chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side until cooked through.
  5. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes.
  6. Slice and serve garnished with green onion.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar.
  • Serve with steamed rice or salad for a complete meal.
