- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)
- 1–2 tablespoons milk (for frosting)
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Add the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and ground cinnamon.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
- Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cupcakes cool before frosting.
- For the frosting, mix powdered sugar with milk until desired consistency is reached, then spread or pipe onto cooled cupcakes.
