- 1 loaf day-old bread, cubed
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 celery stalks, chopped
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and celery, sauté until soft.
- In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes, sautéed vegetables, chicken broth, herbs, salt, and pepper. Stir in the beaten eggs.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes until the top is golden brown.
