  • 8 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wrap each mozzarella stick with a slice of turkey bacon tightly.
  3. In a shallow bowl, place the flour. In another bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, mix breadcrumbs with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, and salt.
  4. Dredge each bacon-wrapped mozzarella stick first in flour, then dip in egg, and finally coat with breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  6. Fry the poppers in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
