Easy Beef Lo Mein

A quick and easy recipe for a beloved Chinese dish that brings traditional flavors to your table.

  • 1 pound beef, sliced thinly
  • 8 ounces lo mein noodles
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 cup onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the lo mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the beef and cook until browned; remove from skillet.
  4. In the same skillet, add garlic and ginger, sauté for 30 seconds.
  5. Add sliced bell peppers and onion, stir-fry until tender.
  6. Return the beef to the skillet and add soy sauce and oyster sauce, mixing well.
  7. Add the cooked lo mein noodles, tossing everything together to combine.
  8. Finish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, substitute the beef with tofu.
  • You can add or substitute any vegetables you prefer.
