French Onion Chicken Orzo Casserole

A delicious and creamy chicken and orzo casserole enhanced with the rich flavors of French onion and savory turkey bacon.

  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 1 cup turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (like Gruyere or Swiss)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté the onions until caramelized.
  4. Add the cooked chicken, orzo, chicken broth, heavy cream, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish. Top with shredded cheese and crispy turkey bacon.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
