  • 2 cups onions, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup French onion soup
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. In a large Dutch oven, sear the chuck roast on all sides until browned.
  3. Add the sliced onions and garlic around the roast.
  4. Pour in the beef broth and French onion soup.
  5. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce and thyme, then season with salt and pepper.
  6. Cover and roast in the oven for about 3 hours or until tender.
