  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 cups chicken broth
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 pie crust

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion and celery; cook until tender.
  3. Stir in flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until well blended.
  4. Add chicken broth and milk; cook until thickened.
  5. Add chicken, carrots, and peas. Remove from heat.
  6. Pour mixture into a pie crust. Cover with the second pie crust; cut slits to allow steam to escape.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until crust is golden brown.
