  • 4 large potatoes, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. In a large baking dish, layer the sliced potatoes, cooked ground beef, and diced onion.
  4. In a bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper, then pour over the layered ingredients.
  5. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour.
  6. Remove foil, sprinkle cheese on top, and bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
