Ingredients

  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup fruit jam (your choice)
  • powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add in flour, salt, and olive oil, then knead until smooth.
  3. Cover and let it rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Spread the dough onto a greased baking sheet and create dimples with your fingers.
  6. Fill the dimples with fruit jam, then let the dough rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
