  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup mirin
  • 2 tablespoons sake
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 8 skewers (soaked in water for 30 minutes)

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, mirin, sake, brown sugar, sesame oil, and green onion.
  3. Add the chicken to the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Thread the marinated chicken onto the skewers.
  6. Grill the skewers for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked.

Notes

  • Serve with additional green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
  • For a spicier option, add chili flakes to the marinade.
