Korean BBQ Steak Rice Bowls

A delicious blend of marinated steak and fresh vegetables served over rice.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound steak (ribeye or sirloin)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and minced garlic to create the marinade.
  2. Place the steak in a zip-top bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade.
  4. Cook the steak for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until desired doneness. Let it rest before slicing.
  5. In the same skillet, stir-fry the bell peppers and broccoli until tender.
  6. To serve, place cooked rice in bowls, top with sliced steak and stir-fried vegetables, and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the steak overnight.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like carrots or snap peas.
