Meatloaf with Mashed Potatoes and Cheese

Deliciously moist meatloaf made with turkey and bacon, served with creamy mashed potatoes and cheese.

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 pound turkey bacon
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, diced turkey bacon, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  3. Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place it in a baking dish.
  4. Top the meatloaf with shredded cheese.
  5. Bake for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  6. Meanwhile, prepare the mashed potatoes and season as desired.
  7. Serve the meatloaf with mashed potatoes on the side.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add your favorite herbs to the meatloaf mixture.
  • This dish can be made ahead and frozen.
