Raspberry Cinnamon Rolls

Deliciously soft and fluffy raspberry cinnamon rolls drizzled with a sweet icing.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk, warmed
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. Add warm milk, melted butter, and the egg. Mix until dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Roll out the dough and sprinkle with raspberries and cinnamon.
  6. Roll up tightly and cut into slices.
  7. Place slices in a baking dish and let them rise again for 30 minutes.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes.
  9. Cool slightly and drizzle with icing made from powdered sugar and a little milk.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add vanilla extract to the icing.
  • Try using frozen raspberries if fresh ones are unavailable.
