  • 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, vegetable oil, and spices.
  2. Add chicken pieces to marinade and coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  3. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Place marinated chicken on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes until cooked through.
  5. Broil for an additional 5 minutes for a charred effect, if desired.
  6. Serve hot with sides of your choice.
