  • 1 pound chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, bourbon, garlic, ginger, and black pepper.
  2. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and add to the marinade. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. In a pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces, reserving the marinade.
  4. Cook the chicken until browned and cooked through, about 7-10 minutes.
  5. Pour the reserved marinade into the pan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Stir in the sesame oil and green onions. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  7. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
